AURORA, Colo. - A gunman wearing a gas mask and body armor opened fire early Friday in a crowded suburban Denver theater at the opening of the Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, killing 14 people and injuring at least 50.

A gunman age 24 James Holmes who lived four miles away from the theater is in custody and he is the one who committed the crime.

Mass shooting spree killings keep happening in America and now it has happened again. Police are now searching the home of James Holmes. Conflicting reports now say their are explosives in the home ( apartment ) in the home.

Gunman came through a exit door and he had a gas mask on. He was a real bad guy people say. At first people thought it was part of the entertainment.

He came through door and threw a gas bomb. He was shooting anyone that moved. He shot a six year old and a baby. He reloaded his weapon several times and kept shooting.

He had a rifle, he had a bullet proof vest on, he was wearing a gas mask.

People in the theater at first thought he was a Swat Team member because of the way he was dressed. People say he kept hunting down anyone that was moving.

Police are now saying James Holmes bought a ticket to the movie. He went into the theater and propped the inside exit door open and then he went around to the outside of the theater dressed in body armor and gas mask and came in shooting.

No motive of why he did this is now known. At this moment 1.34 P.M. Eastern Police are with his parents in San Diego California interviewing his parents.

Youngest victim was 3 month old baby. Police could not first get into the theater due to the tear gas in theater 9 where the shooting took place. People say they could not see or breathe in the theater and Holmes kept hunting down and shooting people.

Auroa Mayor says it is the act of a deranged mind and we can't allow people like James Holmes to take away our freedoms. As Americans we must all grieve for those people in that movie theater.

Shots went through into other theaters and at least one person was killed that way.

Holmes acted along police say.

At least 78 people were shot by Holmes. And his home was booby trapped with various explosive devices and trip wires. His apartment has not yet been cleared.

Holmes had been going to University of Colorado. He was withdrawing from college at this time. Police and FBI say apartment of Holmes was Booby Trapped. There were even trip wires.

Holmes came in back door, shot off tear gas and then starting shooting people in the theater.

Holmes was wearing body armor from head to toe and he had only had one speeding ticket in the past.

SECURITY PRECAUTIONS

In New York, police will deploy officers at screenings of "The Dark Knight Rises" throughout the city "as a precaution against copycats," Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said in a statement.

The Paris movie premiere was canceled on Friday, event organizers said. Workmen cleared away barriers that had been set up in preparation for the premiere at a cinema on the capital's Champs Elysees avenue.

"Warner Bros. is deeply saddened to learn about this shocking incident. We extend our sincere sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims at this tragic time," said Jessica Zacholl, a spokeswoman for Time Warner-owned Warner Bros., the studio behind the film.

The film, with a budget of $250 million, opened on 4,404 screens, the second widest release ever behind "Twilight: Eclipse," and industry analysts had said it stood a good chance of matching or beating the opening weekend box office record of $207 million set by Disney's "Avengers" in May.

Guy in theater got phone call and may have let Holmes into the theater. If so someone helped Holmes. Several people who were in theater tells this story.

2 Adults And 7 Year Old Boy Found Dead In Brooklyn Apartment

Two Adults, a man and a woman and a 7 year old boy have been found shot to death in a Brooklyn apartment.

Police Believe Incident Was A Double Murder And A Suicide

Police believe a violent ex con turned his Brooklyn apartment into a blood bath by shooting to death his wife and her beloved seven year old grandson before turning the gun on himself and committing suicide.

Police believe David Sherrod, age 44 , shot his wife Alma Cox and her seven year old grandson Jaquan Cox in the head before he turned the 357 hand gun on himself and killed himself inside the Brooklyn apartment on Tuesday July 3, 2012.

Police discovered the three bodies at 11.50 P.M. on Monday night July 2nd after neighbors complained of a foul odor coming from the apartment. Police detectives now believe that Sherrod killed Cox, her seven year old grandson and himself with a 357 revolver on Saturday night and the bodies had been decomposing since then in the hot apartment. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots on Saturday night which was the 30th of June but did not call the police.

The seven year old boy was staying for a week with his grandmother Alma Cox and he was supposed to have returned home to Poughkeepsie on Monday where he lived with his father Johnny Cox who is having a hard time dealing with the death of his mother and son.

David Sherrod Jr. mourns outside the house where police say David Sherrod shot spouse Alma Cox and her beloved grandson, Jaquan Cox of Poughkeepsie David Sherrod is also said to have taken his own life.

Neighbors say that David Sherrod was at times almost evil with Alma Cox and that she was planning to leave him because of his ongoing abuse. Neighbors reported hearing the couple argue from time to time and that on August 20th 2010 was the last time police had been dispatched to the Cox residence for domestic violence by Sherrod on Cox.

Sherrod who acknowledged during a parole hearing that he smoked crack as a teenager was last released from prison in 2009. He had been in and out of prison on drug and armed robbery charges.

The gruesome scene in Brooklyn Apartment where three people were found dead Tuesday. Police said David Sherrod fatally shot his spouse Alma Cox and her grandson Jaquan Cox, 7, before turning the gun on himself.

Domestic Violence is a severe problem that continues to be a problem in many families. Cox had been on her job for over 18 years and she was an excellent employee said her employer. Sherrod also worked there. The couple worked at the Northeast Brooklyn Housing Development Corp., a nonprofit group that provides affordable rental housing to low-income residents.

Otis Toole Killed John Walsh's Son

The Hollywood Police Department now says that confessed serial killer Otis Toole who once confessed to killing the son of John Walsh but then took back the confession is the one that killed and cut the head off the boy.The boy's head which was found a few days after the murder was confirmed to be the head of Adam Walsh but the boys body was never found.

Otis Toole confessed on his death bed in prison to his niece but she was the only one that heard the confession. Toole passed away in prison in 1996.

Walsh has said that in 21 years he has helped to capture 1000 men but that he was never able to capture or help capture the murderer of his son. The case of Adam Walsh was open for twenty seven years before the Hollywood Police recently said they were now convinced that Otis Toole did indeed kidnap six year old Adam Walsh and kill him. He also cut the boy's head off and is said to have thrown the boy's body into a Florida canal full of alligators and it is likely the boy's body was eaten by alligators.

Otis Toole and Henry Lee Lucas are believed to have been guilty of killing around three hundred and fifty people though it was once thought to have been above a thousand.

It is sad that the Walsh boy could never be given a proper funeral.

Otis Toole who died in prison in Florida in 1996 had twice confessed to taking six year old Adam Walsh from the Sears Store in Hollywood Florida in 1981. He said he murdered and decapitated the boy shortly after he took him and led him out of the Sears store by the hand. Parents should warn their children never to leave a store with anyone but them.
